UNITY IS KEY IN WINNING- KUFFOUR TELLS PARTY FOLLOWERS

Former President of the Republic of Ghana, John Agyekum Kufuor, has charged followers of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to strive hard to make the party attractive to all Ghanaians by bringing to a halt all the internal wrangling that is negatively affecting the fortunes of the elephant family.
He said once the party is able to demonstrate that they are force to reckon with going into election 2016, he can assure everyone that victory will be theirs in the 2016 Presidential and Parliamentary elections.

“The responsibility on us is to first close our ranks. We need everybody within the party. We must close our ranks because the justification for the party is winning power. We want power so we must include everybody in the party. Anybody who professes to be with us, we must include them.”
“And not only that, once we show unity, I tell you we become beautiful, we become sexy and the people who are not able to decide, they will look at us and join us because everybody wants to be with the victor and I tell you we may even win some from the NDC itself because they are all suffering,” Mr. Kufuor noted in his address at the ongoing Extraordinary Delegates Conference at the Sunyani Coronation Park in the Brong Ahafo Region.
He reminded the party faithful that politics is about winning power, cautioning that if they don’t close their ranks and look appealing to Ghanaians who are yearning for change, all the competent human resource they have assembled to change Ghana will be in vain.
“We tend to suspect ourselves too much. We must sacrifice to capture the power that is beckoning us. We need everybody. From here let’s stop all that and move on,” he said.
“The NPP must yearn to bring on board all those who are willing to come on board. That is how a democracy works. All regional chairmen of the party must see themselves as servants and I trust our candidate can win. We should be looking at 54 and 55 percent for our flagbearer. Whatever differences we share let it be internal, outwardly we must show that we are together. We need everybody. If we can come together, we can see victory way before the election.”
