Killer of British actress, Sian Blake appears in Accra court, says he killed actress due to her terminal illness
The arrested lover of ex-EastEnder Sian Blake has admitted killing her and their two children because she was terminally ill. Arthur Simpson-Kent who is currently in the custody of Ghana police is said to have told authorities that “He said the mum was going to die and it was better for them all to die together.”According to The Sun, the suspect also allegedly told cops he has “no regrets” over the killings. Meanwhile more details of the case emerged as Arthur Simpson-Kent was accused of three counts of murder during an extradition hearing in Ghana. Prosecutors revealed how he had been “uncooperative and dismissive” of British detectives when they first quizzed him over Sian’s disappearance last month.
Simpson-Kent was rushed into the capital’s Kaneshie District Magistrate Court in a motorcade flanked by detectives in an unmarked car. The snared fugitive – in grey jeans and t-shirt with his hands cuffed behind his back – said nothing as he arrived. He was seated on a small bench in the cramped and dilapidated courtroom where he spoke quietly to officials.
It is unclear whether a lawyer for the former fugitive will oppose his extradition. He has been held custody in at the high security headquarters of Ghana’s MI5 (BNI). The secret facility in Accra is used to detain sensitive prisoners and those considered a threat to the country since Saturday.
