WISA PLEADS NOT GUILTY

Lawyer for hiplife artiste, Wisa Greid, Jerry Agbenovor, has mounted a defence for his client, saying he only showed a doodle and not his genitals during a live performance at the Accra International Conference Center.
Wisa is facing prosecution for exposing his genitals on stage at Citi FM’s Christmas Eve concert, Decemba 2 Rememba concert on Thursday, December 24.
Social media platforms are awash with videos of Wisa stripping and rubbing his manhood behind his female dancer on stage.
He appeared before an Accra Circuit Court today [Wednesday] after he was arrested, charged and admitted to bail  in the sum of Ghc 000 cedis.

Although Wisa has himself acknowledged his act and called it irresponsible in an apology statement, his Lawyer told journalists after today’s court appearance, that his client will only be proven guilty if it is established that what he showed to the live audience on that fateful day was his genitals.
“Do you know what a doodle is? So if you know what a doodle is and you know what you can get from different sex shops all over the world then you can understand where we are coming from basically. What you saw in there is a perception. He is dissatisfied with the perception that you have. What you saw, to you it’s a dick or it looks like a dick. Can you prove that it was a dick?,” he queried.
The lawyer further complained about the negative perception that had been created since the incident occurred, saying “The perception created is very negative. It doesn’t mean what he did or what he’s alleged to have done is an acceptance of whatever people are saying he did basically. This matter is in court and it shall be determined in court and we will display and come to the bottom of this matter in court.”
“He [wisa] has pleaded not guilty and we will proceed to determine the matter in court. If you run into the definition of art, it runs from paintings to music, to dance and culture and to everything artistic and it is broad,” he argued.
The case has been adjourned to the 13th of January 2015.

CHRISTMAS AND LIVESTOCK PURCHASE – JAMES TOWN

CHRISTMAS AND LIVESTOCK PURCHASE – JAMES TOWN

Still in the festive season soobolo speaks to sellers of livestock in Accra to find out how business was this festive season, we spoke to Chairman of livestock Mr. Seidu Sakode at old light house in James town.
According to, Mr. Sakode the selling of livestock which includes Goat, Sheep, and Cow etc has come to a standstill this time around, he explained that the Ghanaian economy is quite tight and the cost o rearing livestock has become expensive which scares some buyers from the attempt to buy livestock. He said that sales were low as compared to last year.

We engaged conversation with livestock sellers to tell us how sales were so far at James town. The sellers told us that the police are their main worry most times as they extort money from them every time they have to convey livestock from Burkina Faso to Accra. They said that people do come around to purchase livestock at their own price ignoring the original price for livestock.

PESSANGERS SHOULD NOT ALLOW THEMSELKVES TO BE KILLED BY STUBBORN DRIVERS-POLICE

PESSANGERS SHOULD NOT ALLOW THEMSELKVES TO BE KILLED BY STUBBORN DRIVERS-POLICE
Passengers have been urged to persistently caution drivers who speed when driving, to stop them before they collide/crash with other cars especially during this holiday.
Nkwawkwaw Divisional Police Commander Chief Superintendent James Safo Pepreh observed that most drivers use old tyres and to top it all they fail to observe the road signs and over speed.
He expressed worry concerning passengers who refuse to caution drivers when they speed.
He emphazied if passengers don’t speak, these stubborn drivers will end up killing them.

On the otherhand National Road Safety Commission (NRSC) is cautioning passengers not to pressurize drivers to speedwhen driving.
Director of Communication at the NRSC Kwame Attuahen admonished passengers who are on hurry to set off early if truely they dont fancy lateness, thus the way to bring on board the adhereance of most road saftey precaution.

We managed to get some passengers to speak on they role in cautioning drivers who prefer to speed and overtake when driving. according to them some drivers fall deaf ear to their warnings as some even go to the extent of arguing with them unneccessarily till they finally alight at the destination. Others also spoke bitterly about commercial drivers saying that they are non-sensitive atimes, but afterall it's the passenger who has more right in the vehicle concerning his/her safety.
All things being equal some passenger also seem to agree with the unscrupulous acts of such drivers, according to a passenger they rather encourge the driver to speed when they know its soo wrong.

In an interview with some drivers they explained that the  passengers loud voice alone could set them boiling and so to make matters calm they tend to ignore all they noise behind them just to make sure they dont lose concentration.
According to a driver we spoke with he cautioned commercial drivers we are too knowning to be careful anytime they choose to handle safety matters their way. Our advice; it pays to be patient check the speed.
