"MOUNTAINS AND PRAYER " WHAT ARE THE FACTS
The world is full of many high places
erhm I mean mountains, and Ghana is not exempted from the list of popular
tourist destinations when we talk of Mountainous places. Here are some common
ones; Afadjato, Odwen Anoma. Most of these mountains are sources of attraction
to tourists while others are sacred places for prayers.
Today marks International Mountain
Day, and the SOOBOLO team is out to speak
with pastors to find out why prayers are offered on mountains with the believe
that God dwells there and thus our prayers will be answered. To find out what
exactly it was we spoke to Rev. Fred Deegbe of Calvary Baptist Church
Rev pls tell us why?
Christians go to mountains because
there they have that special time to connect with God. Different reasons are
associated in going to mountains to pray.
Rev, is there something supernatural
up on the mountain for Christians?
He further stated that the is no
special thing on the mountain but in
Scriptures the Bible says Jerusalem was on a mount where the temple of God was
built and Jesus also went to pray the mountain to pray for 40days and 40
nights. Christian believe that going
there is like visiting the temple of Jerusalem anyway people can still be in
their rooms and pray God will still have ears to listen to their plea.
GOD IS EVERYWHERE, EVERY TIME!
GOD IS EVERYWHERE, EVERY TIME!

Mountains cover around 22% of the earth’s land surface and
they play a critical role in moving the world towards sustainable economic
growth as well as providing sustenance and wellbeing to 915 million mountain
people around the world, representing 13 percent of global population, but
indirectly benefit billions more living downstream.
In particular, mountains provide freshwater, energy and food.
