DRIVERS CAUTIONED AGAINST FOGGY WEATHER AHEAD OF CHRISTMAS

DRIVERS CAUTIONED AGAINST FOGGY WEATHER AHEAD OF CHRISTMAS
The Transport Manager for VVIP Station at Circle, Accra Eric Botchway says due to the foggy weather, drivers at the VVIP Station have been cautioned on how to drive safely as Christmas approaches.
According to him, the union invited the National Road Safety Commission to take the drivers through safety measures in driving in order to prevent any accident. He added that, during times like this, some drivers do not heed to any advice but drive carelessly even when the weather is foggy.
However, he says there is low patronage around this time but hopefully next week, it will boom.

SOOBOLO also speaks with some drivers who expressed worry over bad roads along the Accra, Kumasi route which they called on the Highway Authority to help construct. They also indicated that, people are not travelling this year as compared to last year and are optimistic there will be patronage from next week.

Meanwhile, some passengers who couldn’t wait for the Christmas day, and have started travelling to their hometowns expressed how happy they are whiles others think the system is too tough for them thereby do not see any need to commemorate.
